#43 EVAN PAPPAS, Actor/Director

One of Broadway’s greatest actors, Evan Pappas, joins Rob and Kevin at Shetler Studios to discuss his long, varied career onstage and off.

From his beginnings in A Chorus Line to originating roles in Falsettoland, My Favorite Year, and Parade, Evan discusses what it was like to work with Hal Prince, William Finn, and Jason Robert Brown. Plus, getting Dolores Gray to “Places”, why drinking led to a role in Parade, and how best to perform “Larger Than Life”

  1. Wonderful show with Evan Pappas this week, guys. I join him in saying ‘thanks’ for the great job you do. Due to an allergy to Apple, I don’t do ITunes, but I’d love to give you ten stars (if only to hear Paul Lynde do another number from “Next 5 Years”). What wonderful work you do. I can’t get enough of it.

  2. Just discovered your website today. Terrific interview! I’ve been an Evan Pappas fan since I saw “My Favorite Year” (six times in four days – they were still in previews and every show was different). I also have a machine-signed head shot from The Carol Burnett Show – who knew we had so much in common?!
